It's time to bring out the Snowman Soup!
hee .. hee ..

I made a simple tag, that you also can give it a try to make some, because it wasn't consume pretty much time to make that :)
Use only die cut from the DooHickey kit, stamped some wording and may be a little bit accent.

When the weather outside is frightful, Snowman soup can be delightful ..
Let it's snow ... Let it's snow ... Let it's snow ..

{Opps ... I think I am forget the peppermint candy cane.. LOL!!!
but, I am sure you will have some, isn't it ? ... }

When you feel a chill ... brrrr ..
use the candy cane to stir ;)

I just love the word : For you at Christmas ..
and the background was come from years ago collection but it always fit in every Christmas moment.

I want to share some material I use when I arranged the Santa Claus and to make the word on the background sparkling in the real life;

For the Santa's face : Ginger bread, Sahara sand, Pink dust
Santa's hat : Red brick
everything in white color edged with Niagara mist
I stamped the Merry Christmas background using a white pigment ink and clear heat embossed using clear hologram sparkle from WOW
and edged the tag using walnut stain

I also spot how I keep my dies organized , put them together on a piece of magnet and saved on a binder for good.

I hope you can enjoy my blog post today and get some inspiration to prepare some gives on bring your family a cozy winter on this December.

Magnolia Advent Calendar - Shutter #15

Hello dear readers ..

Today is my turn to serve you on the 15th day of the tradition Magnolia Advent Calendar.

as we are approaching to the middle of this December, means we are almost close to the Christmas eve :)

... it's starting with the some snow ..

Before we dive deep down into my blog post today, I would love to share a table decoration for this Christmas, it comes with a simple winter scene .. I am thinking of a White Christmas although here in the country I live we don't have any snow and the weather just rainy outside, I still love to have a snowbank on a glass :)

I make the wintery scene using a diecut from Magnolia DooHickey dies Big House and also the white tree cutting from the Christmas kit - DooHickeys Club

Some white paint I used along with dry glitter and everything is going smoothly beautiful glittery.

if you want to get a try to make this yourself, grab some salt to make the snowbank :)

Christmas ...is  not just a word! it's mean a lot including Peace - Love - Joy

Please let me warn you that I have a long post today but I am hoping so much that you will last to read and enjoy my post till the end ♥

Long time ago in Bethlehem ..

I love every images that come from Magnolia, but I can say that the Nativity is my most favorite ones, especially for Christmas. I stamp the Nativity Background  using a pigment ink - moonlight and doing some water coloring on it.
The vocal image is Twinkle Star Tilda from the latest collection - Waiting for Christmas

...
long time ago in Bethlehem
so the holy bible say
Mary's boy child Jesus Christ
was born on Christmas day
hark now hear the angels sing
a new king was born today
and man will live forever more
because of Christmas day
...

oh it was a beautiful feeling when I listen that song,
and I got the inspiration to make my second Christmas card;

December - Christmas - Winter
aren't they are too beautiful for words ? The most wonderful time of the year! and I ever got the most beautiful early Christmas give on my life .. I gave my second son birth on 15th December and now .. he turns 15 years old and  nothing is better than being a mother

I stamped  Tilda in The Forest - Christmas Story 2012 on a piece of water color paper and I paint the winter background myself :)
lots of winter picture inspired me, but the most I love is the Swedish Lapland ♥
I wish .. I did it well, as I am not a good painter but I have so much love to the winter Lapland of Sweden.

This is the last photo, I promise :)

I would love to spot the wintery, the village and the snowbank over the hill.. and I Believe in the magic of Christmas!

I would love to say Thank you so much to Magnolia, that bring me a lot of happiness through the beautiful stamps they created, and although I spent  my time to caring my family the most nowadays, but they always good to me.
Also to all of you, my lovely readers around this word, you are my beautiful inspirations.

Okay, this is the end of my post so don't forget to leave your words because you will have a chance to win a secret present send directly to your doorstep by Magnolia!

Pink Ribbon and Blue Ribbon

Hello!
I have a couple of  things to share with you today
and before I go with my post, I am happy to have the stamp sets from Magnolia that called Pink Ribbon and Blue Ribbon , which they are supported for the breast cancer and prostate cancer.
and they are both Tilda and Edwin in the cute pose about "See no evil - Hear no evil - Speak no evil"

and here are my work with them;

The Pink and Blue Ribbon has three images and they are also in mini world size, so I decided not only making a card but I would love to give someone a small treat, I am using all image for minis on the favor box.

All images are water coloring with distress ink, and due the power of my eyes I need lots of forgiveness if I am doing so much messy on the minis. But I have a bunch of fun to play with the super cute images.

Now, is Edwin turns ..

I also have a stamp set from StampinÚp! about the breast cancer, it was years ago but I think they are so match with my set.

For the cards I choose "Talk no evil" nothing special reason for that but they are my fave pose from the rest of all.
I am using a acrylic paint for the panel and accent behind the mini images.

and here are all the list of ingredients used :
Neenah desert storm cs , Neenah natural cs, Mama Elephant pigment ink ( Moonlight, Brown Sugar, Dark Storm) , Clear embossing powder, Martha Stewart acrylic paint satin - Cloud, Crackle paint (Picket Fence, Old Paper) , Distrees dry glitters, Mayart twine.

Hope you guys will enjoy my work today and let's us support for the good cause!
Thank you so much for stopping here and Have a best day!

Love,
Yulis

Waiting for Christmas

Hello dear readers,

Hope you guys are well :)
Today I have create a shabby Christmas card that wrapped out the memory of our childhood ..
and I present this one as an inspiration card for Magnolia Only Challenge at Ribbon Girl :)

not too much words, here is my card:

Again I am using my Magnolia stamp from the latest collection : "Waiting for Christmas" and today I present Tilda with terumpet ..
all of us ever have that feeling .. exciting to wait the Christmas eve!!!
When choir were so beautiful, lots of presents .. the most wonderful time of the year!

This time I won't let my Tilda stay on the plain background, so I try to play with my water coloring to paint some shabby flowers around her.

The only one decoration I use is a gorgeous charm that given from my dear Mary from The Ribbon Girl, I so love with that music charm.

I use lots of sparkling medium on my card, they are my silver signo gell pen, clear Wink of Stella,  my metal pen - green and finishing it with pearl glimmer mist.

oh how I wish I can be a good photographer so I can shoot all the sparkling!!!

and here the closer look for the Rocking horse .. so cute, right ??
I cut a piece of Pion Design paper with the DooHickey kit and give some Snow tex here and there.

recently I love to paint some flowers as a background beside painting a scene so I try for bigger flowers on my card ahead.. what do you think ?
but before it may be I have to learn more ..

I thank you so much for visiting me today and hope to see you again soon!

Warmest whises

Hi everyone!

Today I am back again :D
and this is my first Holiday Card for this year . yey!!
I am ready to warming up and for my first kick I present the Warmest wishes card to all my dear readers ;)

I am using "Star Sky Tilda"for my focal image and I keep everything just flat because I want to sent it later :) but .. flat not meant I didn't do anything right ? hee hee
I want to capture the winter's night ..

It’s all about the quick and easy, I had the idea to make a starry sky with blending tool and I am using several color of distress ink pads, they are tumbled glass, chipped sapphire, dusty concord and black shot. spritzed with pearlized water and purple glimmer mist as well. I added some falling snow using the Sakura gelly roll white pen.

I use a snow die cut from Magnolia DooHickey dies club volume 2 , and I want that big snow also catch the audience so I let it stand alone with gorgeous rhinestone on its center.

okay, that's all from me today :)
Fyi, Magnolia has released a new collection for this Holiday with the title "Waiting for Christmas" who doesn't waiting for Christmas ?? the most wonderful time of the year! Stay tune everyone!

Today I have a card to share, and I made this one for an event in Japan that Magnolia rubber stamps is one of the participants there.
Again, I am using a watercolor painting to make a scenery on my card and I got my inspiration from the words that spoken by Mulan's father on a Disney movie :

The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all.

Oh I love that words so much!!! So inspired :)

and this is my card :

I am so sorry that I have no more photo from this card, as when it was finished I have to run to the post office and send it out .. I don't want to be late.
But I am hoping so much that you still can enjoy and love my card as much as I do ;)
She is so cuteeee isn't she ?
Tilda with Channel the puppy coming from Animal of the year collection

Reminder the sea ..

Hi all ..

It's been a long time since my last posting here,
so much to do in the real life ..

Today I have a chance to post one of my cards that I made for Magnolia Sweden, yes I still love to coloring Magnolia images on my crowded days though, because something exciting when I see the image become colored.. they are too cute to stay away!

When some peoples on the other side of this world have starting to get the Autumn, I bet the weather become cool and windy .. I imagine how beautiful the turning leaves but as I live on the tropical country there are no something like that .. we have the dry and hot weather all day long this month and of course we wish some rain to cooling down everything ..
Our tree just left their leaves falling because the dryness, but beside that on the tropical country we can enjoy the beach more and it would be nice to let you guys turns back the memories of the summer on the beach :)

Here is my inspiration card today:

I used Dies kit from DooHickey Club vol.1
and although the summer season has gone, to whom that living on the similar country like me, they would be use for all year long :)
Eek .. for you guys that have the autumn already, don't worry,.. we sure will see the summer again ..

I colored Tilda with 3 kind of sepia colors from Creatacolor pencils
Embossed the shell with polysparkle clear and the anchor with age taupe.
Paper is Magnolia and I kept them on a cute size :)

I would love to kick out my Winter and Christmas cards soon, so I will find the chance for that.
Stay tune and thank you so much for stopping by .. Bye ..

Yulis

Mid Autumn Wish ..

Hi there!

It's nice to see you again here on my blog post.
Today I want to reveal my freehand painting using Kuretake Gansai Tambi - Japanese traditional water coloring, I jumped over when my friend - Vera, introduced me to this water color and I love love them at the end ..
Since I love to paint for simple scene when I was young, my mind suddenly thought about the beautiful Mid Autumn .. and I just remember the words;

“Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.”
(forgive me I am forget the author of these words)

I am focusing on the lovely Tripping Flower Tilda .. as she is really so beautiful on the Japanese costume! and I wanna tell you that the Mid Autumn for us as Asian mean more than a little .. we have a traditional gathering with family and eat the "Moon Cake" together. We put our WISH for the better weather ahead!
oh yes .. let me ask you to wider the focus, I paint an Autumn scene in Japan for the background, and as I mentioned before I do it with free hand style. I am not a professional painter but I think not have to be perfect on this hobby :)
So, I hope you could still enjoy my painting

Below, I will post some of picture for more detail ..

Those picture show how I enjoy every steps when I color the image, the background and wrapped it out on a design to be a "Mid Autumn Wish"card .. through this card I wish everyone would have a cozy Autumn and enjoy the beautiful of the turning leaves!

Thank you so much to stopping by and read my blog post today .. will see you again soon!

Gypsy Tilda and Water coloring Background

Hello my lovely readers ..

Today I have a card with a story for share, wish it will bring you some inspiration :)

Once upon a time
on the starry starry night ..
There was a pretty lady sitting on the wall at the back yard, she brings a crystal ball ..
mmm .. what would she doing ?
She is so fancy with a Gypsy costume :)
and because she wants to give the wisdom wording she copied a quote ..

Do your little bit good where you are,
It's those little bits of good put together that overwhelm
the World!

Gypsy Tilda is from Magnolia latest collection : Pink Lemonade 2014
I color Tilda with some kind of mediums;
for her skin, hair band and her slippers I use Distress Ink, while for her dress and the wall she sat I color them with Graphitint

I put some glossy accent on her crystal ball to make a dimensional look.

For the words I stamp a sentiment stamp from StampinÚp! with versamark on a vellum and apply Ranger Platinum liquid embossing powder.
Those Bark Butterflies are from Prima marketing.

I have a chance to take a photo when I play with water coloring to make a starry starry night background,
First I apply a masking liquid on my image, I use Winsor and Newton but you sure can use any brand you may found on the store close to you :) I place my image on a mini cutting board with painter tape and start doing the water coloring.
I use Kuretake Gansai Tambi for my background as they are can go well both opaque and transparent and I would say that they are my favorite from now on.

Here the closer look, and I am happy to have them :)
when you can get the 36 colors, they have pearl, silver and gold color also and they were so awesome!

I think that's all from me today, thank you very much for stopping on my blog and I wish to see you again .. bye!!

Love,
Yulis

Love is a big Rose

Hi..

It's been so long since I've added my last post, not so easy to get a free time on the real life lately but however today I get a slot to write some words and sharing a card here ..

I have some short trip last weeks and I had stole a time when in hotel room to color some images .. sound so fun but yup! it is.
I thought the simple stuff that can go with me easily are my pencils! so, I just color with my sephia pencil color set from CREATECOLOR

Here the material list come along when I use my colored image for making a card:
Papers - Magnolia
Dies - DooHickeys View Master, DooHickeys Club Vol. 1
Nesting - Spelbinder, Go Create
Flowers - Prima

Hopefully you will like my card
Thank you for stopping by and Have a good time!!!

Love,
Yulis

Follow your heart

Dear my fellows ..

I found a very nice word that made me back here to share an inspiration for you ..
"Follow your Heart"

yes, really .. I found that whenever I follow my heart when I so something, it was made me happy and sooo relax :)
Here my card to you to enjoy today
and this is also for inspiration at MDUC (Shabby theme) and IMLC ( Thank you so much for invited me as a guest on Red and White theme ) you might be check it out on the both sites :)

all that I create here just follow my heart :)
I am so in love with the "Home Sweet Home" from Magnolia stamps - Pink lemonade 2014 and finally  use my "Tilda with Spring Heart" - Lost and found 2014.
I just love her pose holding a big heart, seem that she really won't to lose it, but I never get a chance to color her until I saw that big bird house and I think I have to masked these two stamps together.

again, I said that I just follow my heart .. so the wording stamp from Stempelglade was very perfect! and I want to bold "HEART"on my card, so first I embossed a scrap paper with embossing powder - Aged taupe from stampendous and sprinkled African gold from Ranger on top of it (this glitter was awesome!! and love their shine so much) I cut the embossed paper with alphabet dies and cut creative foam with the same dies, by glued them together I have my own DIY Thickers :)

Papers I used all are Magnolia, somewhere on my card painted randomly with embossing paste and I put some stardust glittering over there, just "some" ...
if you mentioned some white glowing on it was from Sakura white pen and I also use "My Metal metallic"pen to give fairy dusk on the roses....

That is for now and if you any words you might write for me they would be my treasure ;)
Thank you so much for visiting me today and I'll see you again soon!

Cheers!!
Yulis
